Well, what a weekend. I had duty on Friday which, don't get me started on that adventure. I am an E-5 in the navy and I was in charge of making sure this room got painted. Well, the two guys I had working for me just did not want to paint it, and believe me they let me know by coming up with an excuse every five minutes. The funny part about this whole task was that the whole time I was watching them paint, I was thinking how my 2 year old twin daughters could have done three times better with their finger paint than these two grown men. They didn't end up finishing 'til about 1am Saturday morning. Saturday morning I woke up at 0645 and I seriously couldn't wait to get off the ship to go get breakfast for my amazing family. I got home and to my surprise everybody was still asleep. I couldn't believe it usually at least 1 of the 3 girls are up by 0730. I was actually happy that everybody was asleep because I love the look on my girls face when I wake them up and they yell "Daddy's home". After everybody got up and around I took my girls outside to play on the patio 'cause it was around 78 degrees out. They loved it out there and the only thing they could say was "birdie" and "water on please", so you know what that means...WATER FIGHT!!! I turned on the water and myself with the girls went nuts and they loved it. I couldn't believe the size of the smiles on there faces. By the time we were all done it was just about nap time so I fixed them a pizza and macaroni and cheese, basically because that's all i know how to make, ha ha. It's back to work tomorrow...hopefully my workers have gotten some sense knocked into them since Saturday.
Well, my Maddie is up and I can tell by her cry that she wants her daddy.
